The Liebherr Group comprises more than 130 companies spread over all continents and has over 46,000 employees. In 2018, the company achieved consolidated total sales of 10,551 million euros, surpassing the ten billion euro mark for the first time.
As a family-run technology company that is active on a global scale, Liebherr is not only one of the world‘s largest manufacturers of construction machinery, but also recognized as a provider of technically sophisticated, benefit-oriented products and services in many other areas. The company group comprises eleven product divisions: earthmoving equipment, mining, mobile cranes, tower cranes, concrete technology, maritime cranes, aerospace and transportation systems, gear technology and automation systems, domestic appliances, components and hotels. In the Upper Swabia region in Biberach, Liebherr manufactures tower cranes, slewing bearings, drives and components. Mobile cranes are produced in Ehingen. Refrigerators and freezers are made in Ochsenhausen, and hydraulic excavators, material handling machines and hydraulic cylinders in Kirchdorf/Iller. Liebherr manufactures concrete mixing plants and systems, truck mixers and concrete pumps in Bad Schussenried.
