Logistics is more than just transporting goods from A to B. That's why the approximately 600 employees at Dachser's logistics center in Ulm also offer tailor-made solutions for warehousing, as well as value-added and consulting services – in short, contract logistics. The company has a surface area of 67,000 square meters, where there is room for 107,000 pallets of food with varying temperature requirements as well as numerous industrial products. Hazardous materials are stored in a separate, specially-equipped warehouse area.
With 88 national and 20 international daily scheduled services, the Ulm location is linked to Dachser's European network, which serves 37 countries. Intercontinental transports are handled by the nearest air and sea freight branch at Stuttgart Airport. The two business segments are closely interlinked. With a local contact and integrated IT systems, the company offers global logistics solutions for procurement and distribution.
